5 x 5 1/2” x 13 Steel wheels

Post by busa200mph » Wed Feb 07, 2018 2:09 pm

Hello and thank you for allowing me to join your forum.

My friends and I are Ford fans from many years ago and have had years of fun tinkering with them. Friends of mine have transplanted a Lotus Twin Cam into an old Ford Popular 100E and an Anglia 105E amongst other things along with Brakes and Suspension mods.

One of these friends is having a clear out and has come across 5 of 5 1/2 x 13 steel wheels that he bought for a project. He bought these new from a local Ford dealer and has never used them, never even had a tyre fitted. Obviously the boxes haven’t lasted the years but the wheels are still in a great condition and totally original. They don’t however have the chrome hub caps. He has photos of them but I’m not sure I can upload them, but as long as this post is allowed I’m sure if you point me in the right direction I will be able to post them up.

Hopefully these will be of benefit to someone here.

Many thanks to you all for keeping the legends alive.

Woohoo
I need a find like that.
Did get two new old stock flat LC badges here in NZ the other week for £50 each.
So treasure is everywhere

It's not often you get to it first though Bruce - keep 'em peeled as Shaw Taylor once said.

Thanks David - they will make all the difference to this car as the original ones had loads arguments with kerbs & potholes by the looks of them. :D
